Well I hope everyone's New Year is starting off according to your own plans.
The last quarter of last year was kinda hard for me. I watched my Father deteriorate and pass away from cancer. Now I have had the daunting task of having to go through all his stuff and sort out everything. If anyone has parents that grew up in the depression era....They didn't throw away ANYTHING!!! I spent a month and a half just in the garage.
Just a note of advice....If you are down to your last parent and you are the power of attorney, when they pass and the funeral director asks "How many copies of the Death Certificate you need"......Get as many as they offer. Everyone wants an original...Banks (for each investment acct), Attorneys, DMV, Insurance companies(auto,house,life), property.
Hopefully this year will be better. I have been too preoccupied to pick up my camera. I think I need to get out and just shoot.....therapy.
As for the group....It's looking great. Some great shots coming in. Our Contributors are the best.

Taking The Time To Do It Right
You Know..........The more I wander DA looking at other Auto related groups, I have to say ours is one of the best. Our artists take the time to get down and dirty to get some of the best and unique auto photography shots you can get. I have seen several other auto groups where it looks like someone just walked through the Wal-Mart parking lot and shot every ordinary car in every stall. Yes you can tell it is a shopping center parking lot. And sometimes what's funny is you can see the part of the previous car in the next car photo. Others look like they were shot at a car dealership.

I saw something today that caused me alarm for concern. I live in the O.C. in Southern California and it is Orange County Fair time. I go every year to view the photo entries of their photo exhibition. While I was wandering through their maze of photographs I saw this guy, he had a nice Cannon set-up, and he was taking photos of MANY of the entries. The way he was shooting, he wasn't taking pictures of the whole display, but up close to encompass just the photograph in its frame. What I thought of this guy was... shear theft. Well I have put the camera down for a little while. My daughter has given us a beautiful Grandson. Since her and her man live with us, our time is really consumed with this child. No I'm not complaining, it's just nice to spoil someone then hand them back at the end of the day. Car Show Weather
Yea.....It's been a while since I wrote something here.
I guess I have to do a little bitching. I know what all us photographers have to deal with at car shows. I'm all for the car shows and I usually have to wait for car enthusiasts to finish checking out the vehicles to get a good shot. I am a patient person when waiting my turn. But I went to the Seal Beach Car Show....and talk about a bunch of inconsiderate bastards. Not the car owners or the show staff but the spectators.
